We like this roller better than our previous.  It was a true turf roller.  This roller does a lot better job, it makes the greens roll great, very smooth.  The true turf was fast but did not do a good job.

I liked the idea of being self contained on the power feed.  This lets me move from my 65HP tractor to the 38HP tractor and not mix hyd. fluid.  The machine performs as expected.  It makes my JD1050 light on the front end even with the loader on it.  This 38HP turbo runs it fine.

Dick, the sales manager, was very helpful in explaining what I needed.  I have a Chinese made chipper that was inexpensive, but it simply did not perform.  The old adage of you get what you pay for is very true.  The Salsco chipper is a dream to work with, particularly after the Chinese made unit I had.  With its hydraulic feed and speed control it requires a fraction of the effort needed to work with my other unit.

The Salsco Model 818 is a very rugged machine.
