I purchased a 14 yard (20") shavings mill in January of 2007 to fill a supply void in my sawdust business.  The Salsco mill has met all my expectations and more.  It is ruggedly built, well engineered, and performs as advertised.  It has been a pleasure to work with the folks at Salsco.  Sal has answered all of my inquiries and technical questions.  I would definitely recommend Salsco to anyone.

Dick, the sales manager, was very helpful in explaining what I needed.  I have a Chinese made chipper that was inexpensive, but it simply did not perform.  The old adage of you get what you pay for is very true.  The Salsco chipper is a dream to work with, particularly after the Chinese made unit I had.  With its hydraulic feed and speed control it requires a fraction of the effort needed to work with my other unit.

I have a Salsco 3 1/2" chipper and I knew this next step up would be just as good.  This machine truly does "EAT" 4 1/2" wood.  It makes another Home-Type 4 1/2" chipper look really 3rd Rate.  Thanks

Before the sale, I tried many other small (3 1/2") chippers.  None of them held-up to my amount of chipping.  I am thoroughly impressed.  For a gravity-feed chipper this one eats brush like nothing I've seen.  Thank you.

Just a quick note on the chipper.  Ran it approx. three hours chipping a bunch of brush and whole trees.  The chipper worked fantastic! I have no regrets with the purchase and would recommend it to others looking for a similar product.  Well built and easy to operate, great machine.

The Salsco Model 818 is a very rugged machine.
